The Holy Quran 7:107 — Surah Al-A'raf

Arabic text

فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِينٌ

Translation

So he (Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام) threw down his staff (the first miracle) and it suddenly became a (terrifying and huge) serpent in no uncertain terms (running with mouth open towards Firoun).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فألقى موسى عصاه، فتحولت حيَّة عظيمة ظاهرة للعيان.
