The Holy Quran 6:97 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلنُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا۟ بِهَا فِى ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ

Translation

It is He Who made the stars so that you may be guided by them (so that you are able to find your route when you travel) in the darkness of the land and (especially in) the ocean. Indeed We have explained the Aayaat (signs) for the knowledgeable ones (so that they may recognise Allaah).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

والله سبحانه هو الذي جعل لكم أيها الناس النجوم علامات، تعرفون بها الطرق ليلا إذا ضللتم بسبب الظلمة الشديدة في البر والبحر، قد بيَّنَّا البراهين الواضحة; ليتدبرها منكم أولو العلم بالله وشرعه.
