The Holy Quran 6:66 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

وَكَذَّبَ بِهِۦ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ ۚ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍ

Translation

Your people deny this (Qur'aan) when it is the truth. Tell them, "I have not been put in charge of you (to force you to do as I say. Just as the choice is yours, so too are the consequences)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وكذَّب بهذا القرآن الكفارُ مِن قومك أيها الرسول، وهو الكتاب الصادق في كل ما جاء به. قل لهم: لست عليكم بحفيظ ولا رقيب، وإنما أنا رسول الله أبلغكم ما أرسلت إليكم.
