The Holy Quran 6:6 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرَ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنشَأْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِينَ

Translation

Have they (the Kuffaar like Aad and Thamud) not seen (as they passed the ruins of past nations on their journeys) how many nations We have destroyed before them, whom We had established on earth as We have not established you (We had given them more might and resources than We have given you)? (Although) We sent to them abundant rains and made rivers flow beneath them (because of which they were very prosperous), We then destroyed them (the offenders) because of their sins and created other nations after them.

ألم يعلم هؤلاء الذين يجحدون وحدانية الله تعالى واستحقاقه وحده العبادة، ويكذبون رسوله محمدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم ما حلَّ بالأمم المكذبة قبلهم من هلاك وتدمير، وقد مكنَّاهم في الأرض ما لم نمكن لكم أيها الكافرون، وأنعمنا عليهم بإنزال الأمطار وجريان الأنهار من تحت مساكنهم؛ استدراجًا وإملاءً لهم، فكفروا بنعم الله وكذبوا الرسل، فأهلكناهم بسبب ذنونهم، وأنشأنا من…
