The Holy Quran 6:39 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا صُمٌّ وَبُكْمٌ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ ۗ مَن يَشَإِ ٱللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ

Translation

Those who deny Our Aayaat are deaf and dumb (unable to hear and see the truth and lost) in a multitude of darkness. Allaah sends astray whom He wills and He shall place whom He wills on the straight path (Islaam).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

والذين كذبوا بحجج الله تعالى صمٌّ لا يسمعون ما ينفعهم، بُكْمٌ لا يتكلمون بالحق، فهم حائرون في الظلمات، لم يختاروا طريقة الاستقامة. من يشأ الله إضلاله يضلله، ومن يشأ هدايته يجعله على صراط مستقيم.
