The Holy Quran 6:2 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰٓ أَجَلًا ۖ وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى عِندَهُۥ ۖ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ

Translation

He is the One Who created you (your father Aadam عليه الصلاة والسلام) from clay and then fixed a term (after which you will die). The term (when you will be resurrected) is fixed with Him (in His knowledge), then too you (Kuffaar) doubt (resurrection, little realising that the Being Who can create you from sand can certainly resurrect you again)!

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

هو الذي خلق أباكم آدم من طين وأنتم سلالة منه، ثم كتب مدة بقائكم في هذه الحياة الدنيا، وكتب أجلا آخر محدَّدًا لا يعلمه إلا هو جل وعلا وهو يوم القيامة، ثم أنتم بعد هذا تشكُّون في قدرة الله تعالى على البعث بعد الموت.
