The Holy Quran 6:161 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

قُلْ إِنَّنِى هَدَىٰنِى رَبِّىٓ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ دِينًا قِيَمًا مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ حَنِيفًا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

Translation

Say, "Certainly my Rabb has guided me to the straight path (way, code). This (Deen of Islaam) is the secure Deen that is the Deen of Ibraheem, which is Haneef (not inclined towards any deviation but is inclined to the straight way, which is the path Allaah sanctions with zeal and force). He (Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام) was never from the Mushrikeen."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قل -أيها الرسول- لهؤلاء المشركين: إنني أرشدني ربي إلى الطريق القويم الموصل إلى جنته، وهو دين الإسلام القائم بأمر الدنيا والآخرة، وهو دين التوحيد دين إبراهيم عليه السلام، وما كان إبراهيم عليه السلام من المشركين مع الله غيره.
