The Holy Quran 6:150 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَرَّمَ هَـٰذَا ۖ فَإِن شَهِدُوا۟ فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ ۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ

Translation

Say, "Bring your witnesses who will testify that indeed Allaah forbade these (animals that you have forbidden)." If they (shamelessly) testify, then you do not testify with them (because their testimony is false). Do not follow the wishes of those who reject Our Aayaat (order), those who do not believe in the Aakhirah and who associate (others) as equals with their Rabb.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قل -أيها الرسول- لهؤلاء المشركين: هاتوا شهداءكم الذين يشهدون أن الله تعالى هو الذي حرَّم ما حرَّمتم من الحرث والأنعام، فإن شهدوا -كذبًا وزورًا- فلا تصدقهم، ولا توافق الذين حكَّموا أهواءهم، فكذبوا بآيات الله فيما ذهبوا إليه من تحريم ما أحل الله، وتحليل ما حرم الله، ولا تتبع الذين لا يصدقون بالحياة الآخرة ولا يعملون لها، والذين هم بربهم يشركون فيعبدون معه…
