The Holy Quran 63:6 — Surah Al-Munafiqun

Arabic text

سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ لَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ

Translation

It is the same to them whether you (O Rasulullaah ﷺ) seek forgiveness for them or whether you do not seek forgiveness for them. (In either case,) Allaah shall never forgive them. Verily Allaah does not guide the sinful ones.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

سواء على هؤلاء المنافقين أطلبت لهم المغفرة من الله -أيها الرسول- أم لم تطلب لهم، إن الله لن يصفح عن ذنوبهم أبدًا ; لإصرارهم على الفسق ورسوخهم في الكفر. إن الله لا يوفِّق للإيمان القوم الكافرين به، الخارجين عن طاعته.
