The Holy Quran 60:6 — Surah Al-Mumtahanah

Arabic text

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِيهِمْ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ

Translation

There was certainly an excellent example in them (Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام and his followers) for those of you who believe in Allaah and the Last Day. As for him who (arrogantly) turns away (from Imaan and Islaam), Allaah certainly is Independent (not in need of his worship), Most worthy of praise (no harm can reach Him).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

لقد كان لكم -أيها المؤمنون- في إبراهيم عليه السلام والذين معه قدوة حميدة لمن يطمع في الخير من الله في الدنيا والآخرة، ومن يُعْرِض عما ندبه الله إليه من التأسي بأنبيائه، ويوال أعداء الله، فإن الله هو الغنيُّ عن عباده، الحميد في ذاته وصفاته، المحمود على كل حال.
