The Holy Quran 5:7 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَـٰقَهُ ٱلَّذِى وَاثَقَكُم بِهِۦٓ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

Translation

Remember the favour of Allaah on you (Islaam) and His pledge that He took from you when you said, "We hear and we obey (all Your commands) !" Fear Allaah! Verily Allaah knows (even) the secrets of the heart (such as one's sincerity or hypocrisy, boastfulness or humility).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واذكروا نعمة الله عليكم فيما شَرَعه لكم، واذكروا عهده الذي أخذه تعالى عليكم من الإيمان بالله ورسوله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، والسمع والطاعة لهما، واتقوا الله فيما أمركم به ونهاكم عنه. إن الله عليمٌ بما تُسِرُّونه في نفوسكم.
