The Holy Quran 5:39 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

فَمَن تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ظُلْمِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Translation

Whoever (correctly and sincerely) repents after his wrong-doing and makes amends (such as returning the stolen goods), then surely Allaah shall accept his repentance (and will not punish him in the Aakhirah if the repentance is firm, sincere and lasting). Verily Allaah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فمن تاب مِن بعد سرقته، وأصلح في كل أعماله، فإن الله يقبل توبته. إن الله غفور لعباده، رحيم بهم.
