The Holy Quran 57:3 — Surah Al-Hadid

Arabic text

هُوَ ٱلْأَوَّلُ وَٱلْـَٔاخِرُ وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ وَٱلْبَاطِنُ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

Translation

He is the First (in existence before everything), the Last (will live forever, even though everything else may perish), the Apparent (His power is visible in all His creation), the Hidden (He cannot be seen in this world) and He has knowledge of everything (in the past, present and future).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

هو الأول الذي ليس قبله شيء، والآخر الذي ليس بعده شيء، والظاهر الذي ليس فوقه شيء، والباطن الذي ليس دونه شيء، ولا تخفى عليه خافية في الأرض ولا في السماء، وهو بكل شيء عليم.
