The Holy Quran 57:26 — Surah Al-Hadid

Arabic text

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مُّهْتَدٍ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَـٰسِقُونَ

Translation

Verily We have sent Nooh عليه الصلاة والسلام and Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام (as Ambiyaa to their people) and We had sustained (appointed) Prophethood and scriptures in their progenies (by making many of their offspring Ambiyaa and revealing scriptures to them). Among them (their progenies) were those who were rightly guided while most of them were sinners (disobedient).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولقد أرسلنا نوحًا وإبراهيم إلى قومهما، وجعلنا في ذريتهما النبوة والكتب المنزلة، فمِن ذريتهما مهتدٍ إلى الحق، وكثير منهم خارجون عن طاعة الله.
