The Holy Quran 55:37 — Surah Ar-Rahman

Arabic text

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ

Translation

(The time shall certainly come on the Day of Qiyaamah) When the sky shall split asunder and become red like hide (leather).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فإذا انشقت السماء وتفطرت يوم القيامة، فكانت حمراء كلون الورد، وكالزيت المغلي والرصاص المذاب؛ من شدة الأمر وهول يوم القيامة. فبأي نِعَم ربكما -أيها الثقلان- تكذِّبان؟
