The Holy Quran 54:29 — Surah Al-Qamar

Arabic text

فَنَادَوْا۟ صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ

Translation

So they (the people) called for their companion (a notorious thug) who attacked (the camel) and cut (her hamstring, causing her to die).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فنادوا صاحبهم بالحض على عقرها، فتناول الناقة بيده، فنحرها فعاقَبْتُهم، فكيف كان عقابي لهم على كفرهم، وإنذاري لمن عصى رسلي؟ إنه كان عظيماً مؤلماً.
