The Holy Quran 54:27 — Surah Al-Qamar

Arabic text

إِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَّهُمْ فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ وَٱصْطَبِرْ

Translation

(When the Thamud requested Saalih عليه الصلاة والسلام to bring a pregnant camel from a rock, he made du'aa to Allaah Who said to him,) "We shall certainly send the (she) camel as a test to them (to see which of them will then believe that you are a Nabi and who will not) so watch them and be patient."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إنا مخرجو الناقة التي سألوها من الصخرة؛ اختبارًا لهم، فانتظر -يا صالح- ما يحلُّ بهم من العذاب، واصطبر على دعوتك إياهم وأذاهم لك.
