The Holy Quran 54:11 — Surah Al-Qamar

Arabic text

فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍ مُّنْهَمِرٍ

Translation

So (in reply to his du'aa) We opened up the doors of the sky to (with) torrential rains (water).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فأجبنا دعاءه، ففتحنا أبواب السماء بماء كثير متدفق، وشققنا الأرض عيونًا متفجرة بالماء، فالتقى ماء السماء وماء الأرض على إهلاكهم الذي قدَّره الله لهم؛ جزاء شركهم.
