The Holy Quran 53:43 — Surah An-Najm
Arabic text
وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَىٰ
Translation
It is certainly He (Allaah) Who makes (people) laugh and cry. (Allaah creates the condition which make people happy or sad.)
Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر
وأنه سبحانه وتعالى أضحك مَن شاء في الدنيا بأن سرَّه، وأبكى من شاء بأن غَمَّه.
