The Holy Quran 51:56 — Surah Adh-Dhariyat

Arabic text

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

Translation

I have created man and Jinn only to worship (serve) Me (besides their various other functions, the most important objective of creating them is for them to recognise who Allaah is).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وما خلقت الجن والإنس وبعثت جميع الرسل إلا لغاية سامية، هي عبادتي وحدي دون مَن سواي.
