The Holy Quran 51:53 — Surah Adh-Dhariyat

Arabic text

أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ

Translation

Have they (all the Mushrikeen of all the times) made bequests (promises) to each other (that they will all reject the Ambiyaa عليهم الصلاة والسلام)? No, but (the real reason why they all behave in a like manner is that) they are (all) rebellious (insolent) people.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أتواصى الأولون والآخرون بالتكذيب بالرسول حين قالوا ذلك جميعًا؟ بل هم قوم طغاة تشابهت قلوبهم وأعمالهم بالكفر والطغيان، فقال متأخروهم ذلك، كما قاله متقدموهم.
