The Holy Quran 50:27 — Surah Qaf

Arabic text

۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ

Translation

His companion (the Shaytaan who always remained with him) will say, "O our Rabb! I did not (forcibly) mislead him but he was in distant deviation (of his own accord. So do not punish me for his wrongdoing)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال شيطانه الذي كان معه في الدنيا: ربنا ما أضللته، ولكن كان في طريق بعيد عن سبيل الهدى.
