The Holy Quran 50:12 — Surah Qaf

Arabic text

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ

Translation

The nation of Nooh عليه الصلاة والسلام the people of the well (a community of Kuffaar who were swallowed by the earth as they sat beside a well) and the Thamud rejected (the message of their Ambiyaa عليهم الصلاة والسلام) before them.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

كذَّبت قبل هؤلاء المشركين من قريش قومُ نوح وأصحاب البئر وثمود، وعاد وفرعون وقوم لوط، وأصحاب الأيكة قومُ شعيب، وقوم تُبَّع الحِمْيَري، كل هؤلاء الأقوام كذَّبوا رسلهم، فحق عليهم الوعيد الذي توعدهم الله به على كفرهم.
