The Holy Quran 4:76 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ يُقَـٰتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يُقَـٰتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ فَقَـٰتِلُوٓا۟ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۖ إِنَّ كَيْدَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ كَانَ ضَعِيفًا

Translation

The Mu'mineen fight in Allaah's way (for Allaah's pleasure) and the Kuffaar fight in the way (for the pleasure) of Shaytaan. So (O Muslims!) fight the allies (conspirators) of Shaytaan. Indeed the scheme (plans, conspiracies, deceptions) of Shaytaan (against the Muslims) is ever weak.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

الذين صدَقُوا في إيمانهم اعتقادًا وعملا يجاهدون في سبيل نصرة الحق وأهله، والذين كفروا يقاتلون في سبيل البغي والفساد في الأرض، فقاتلوا أيها المؤمنون أهل الكفر والشرك الذين يتولَّون الشيطان، ويطيعون أمره، إن تدبير الشيطان لأوليائه كان ضعيفًا.
