The Holy Quran 4:31 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

إِن تَجْتَنِبُوا۟ كَبَآئِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُم مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيمًا

Translation

If you avoid the major sins you are forbidden from (those sins for which punishment, a penalty or a curse has been mentioned), We shall wipe out (forgive) your evil actions (minor sins) and enter you into a place of honour (Jannah).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن تبتعدوا -أيها المؤمنون- عن كبائر الذنوب كالإشراك بالله وعقوق الوالدين وقَتْلِ النفس بغير الحق وغير ذلك، نكفِّر عنكم ما دونها من الصغائر، وندخلكم مدخلا كريمًا، وهو الجنَّة.
