The Holy Quran 4:116 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَـٰلًۢا بَعِيدًا

Translation

Verily Allaah shall not forgive that Shirk be committed but will forgive all other sins for whom He wills. Whoever ascribes partners to Allaah (commits Shirk) has strayed far away (from the truth).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن الله تعالى لا يغفر أن يشرك به، ويغفر ما دون الشرك من الذنوب لمن يشاء من عباده. ومن يجعل لله تعالى الواحد الأحد شريكًا من خلقه، فقد بَعُدَ عن الحق بعدًا كبيرًا.
