The Holy Quran 48:6 — Surah Al-Fath

Arabic text

وَيُعَذِّبَ ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَٱلْمُشْرِكَـٰتِ ٱلظَّآنِّينَ بِٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۖ وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيرًا

Translation

(Allaah had also granted Rasulullaah ﷺ this victory) So that Allaah may punish the Munaafiqeen men and women as well as the Mushrikeen men and women, all of whom hold an evil opinion of Allaah (by committing Shirk and thinking that Allaah will never assist the Muslims). An evil calamity shall befall them (in this world and certainly in the Aakhirah when they are punished in Jahannam), Allaah is angry with them, curses them and has prepared Jahannam for them. What an evil place to return to!

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ويعذب الله المنافقين والمنافقات والمشركين والمشركات الذين يظنون ظنًا سيئًا بالله أنه لن ينصر نبيه والمؤمنين معه على أعدائهم، ولن يُظهر دينه، فعلى هؤلاء تدور دائرة العذاب وكل ما يسوءهم، وغضب الله عليهم، وطردهم من رحمته، وأعدَّ لهم نار جهنم، وساءت منزلا يصيرون إليه.
