The Holy Quran 42:34 — Surah Ash-Shuraa

Arabic text

أَوْ يُوبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَيَعْفُ عَن كَثِيرٍ

Translation

Or (if Allaah wills,) He could annihilate them (mankind) because of the (evil) actions they earn. (However,) He pardons a great deal (thereby saving them from punishment)...

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أو يهلكِ السفن بالغرق بسبب ذنوب أهلها، ويعفُ عن كثير من الذنوب فلا يعاقب عليها.
