The Holy Quran 40:68 — Surah Ghafir

Arabic text

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

Translation

It is Allaah Who gives life and death. When He decides a matter, all He has to say (for it to come into existence) is "Be!" and it becomes (what He intended).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

هو سبحانه المتفرد بالإحياء والإماتة، فإذا قضى أمرًا فإنما يقول له: «كن» ، فيكون، لا رادَّ لقضائه.
