The Holy Quran 40:52 — Surah Ghafir

Arabic text

يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمُ ٱللَّعْنَةُ وَلَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلدَّارِ

Translation

The day (of Qiyaamah will be a day) when the excuses of the oppressors will not benefit them, when they will be cursed (cast far from Allaah's mercy) and have the worst of (evil) places to stay (in Jahannam).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

يوم الحساب لا ينتفع الكافرون الذين تعدَّوا حدود الله بما يقدِّمونه من عذر لتكذيبهم رسل الله، ولهم الطرد من رحمة الله، ولهم الدار السيئة في الآخرة، وهي النار.
