The Holy Quran 40:44 — Surah Ghafir

Arabic text

فَسَتَذْكُرُونَ مَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ ۚ وَأُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَصِيرٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ

Translation

"You shall soon recall (after you are punished in this world or after you die) what I am telling you (saying because you will realise that it is the truth). (Sensing that the people were not pleased with what he told them, he added), I surrender my affairs to Allaah. Allaah is definitely Watchful over His bondsmen (He will protect me against your evil)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فلما نصحهم ولم يطيعوه قال لهم: فستذكرون أني نصحت لكم وذكَّرتكم، وسوف تندمون حيث لا ينفع الندم، وألجأ إلى الله، وأعتصم به، وأتوكل عليه. إن الله سبحانه وتعالى بصير بأحوال العباد، وما يستحقونه من جزاء، لا يخفى عليه شيء منها.
