The Holy Quran 40:17 — Surah Ghafir

Arabic text

ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ ۚ لَا ظُلْمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ

Translation

On this day every soul shall be recompensed (rewarded) for what it earned (without anyone having to suffer for the sins of others). No injustice (wrong) shall be done today! Verily, Allaah is Swift in Reckoning.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

اليوم تثاب كل نفس بما كسبت في الدنيا من خير وشر، لا ظلم لأحد اليوم بزيادة في سيئاته أو نقص من حسناته. إن الله سبحانه وتعالى سريع الحساب، فلا تستبطئوا ذلك اليوم؛ فإنه قريب.
