The Holy Quran 3:4 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

مِن قَبْلُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَنزَلَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ

Translation

...from before as a guidance to man (with truth and justice) and He revealed the Furqaan (Decider between right and wrong, referring to the Qur'aan). Verily those who disbelieve in the Aayaat of Allaah (those who misinterpret the Qur'aan) shall have a severe punishment. Allaah is Mighty, the Avenger (He has the might to punish those who disobey Him and those who corrupt valid beliefs).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

نَزَّل عليك القرآن بالحق الذي لا ريب فيه، مصدِّقًا لما قبله من كتب ورسل، وأنزل التوراة على موسى علبه السلام، والإنجيل على عيسى عليه السلام من قبل نزول القرآن؛ لإرشاد المتقين إلى الإيمان، وصلاح دينهم ودنياهم، وأنزل ما يفرق بين الحق والباطل. والذين كفروا بآيات الله المنزلة، لهم عذاب عظيم.
