The Holy Quran 3:33 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰٓ ءَادَمَ وَنُوحًا وَءَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَءَالَ عِمْرَٰنَ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

Translation

Certainly Allaah selected Aadam عليه الصلاة والسلام, Nooh عليه الصلاة والسلام, the family of Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام and the family of Imraan عليه الصلاة والسلام from the entire universe (by selecting Prophets from among them). (The Imraan referred to here is the father of Maryam رضي الله تعالى عنها).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن الله اختار آدم ونوحًا وآل إبراهيم وآل عمران، وجعلهم أفضل أهل زمانهم.
