The Holy Quran 3:19 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

إِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمُ ۗ وَمَا ٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْعِلْمُ بَغْيًۢا بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ

Translation

Definitely the only Deen (religion) with Allaah (acceptable by Allaah) is Islaam (to hand over oneself totally to Allaah). Those who were given the Book from before (the Jews and the Christians) differed only after the knowledge (of Towheed) came to them because of hatred among themselves (caused by their love for wealth, status and power). Whoever disbelieves in the revelations of Allaah, (he should remember that) verily Allaah is swift in taking account.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن الدين الذي ارتضاه الله لخلقه وأرسل به رسله، ولا يَقْبَل غيره هو الإسلام، وهو الانقياد لله وحده بالطاعة والاستسلام له بالعبودية، واتباع الرسل فيما بعثهم الله به في كل حين حتى خُتموا بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، الذي لا يقبل الله مِن أحد بعد بعثته دينًا سوى الإسلام الذي أُرسل به.
