The Holy Quran 3:175 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

إِنَّمَا ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ يُخَوِّفُ أَوْلِيَآءَهُۥ فَلَا تَخَافُوهُمْ وَخَافُونِ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Translation

It was only Shaytaan who frightened (who attempted to make you Muslims scared) of his friends (the Kuffaar). So do not fear them but fear (disobeying) Me if you are (true) Mu'mineen (one fearing Allaah).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إنَّما المثبِّط لكم في ذلك هو الشيطان جاءكم يخوِّفكم أنصاره، فلا تخافوا المشركين; لأنّهم ضعاف لا ناصر لهم، وخافوني بالإقبال على طاعتي إن كنتم مصدِّقين بي، ومتبعين رسولي.
