The Holy Quran 3:172 — Surah Ali 'Imran

ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَآ أَصَابَهُمُ ٱلْقَرْحُ ۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

Translation

(For) Those who answered the call of Allaah and the Rasool (by marching to fight the Mushrikeen again after the Battle of Uhud) after injury had afflicted them; for those of them (from this group) who do good and adopt Taqwa is a great reward.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

الذين لبُّوا نداء الله ورسوله وخرجوا في أعقاب المشركين إلى «حمراء الأسد» بعد هزيمتهم في غزوة «أُحد» مع ما كان بهم من آلام وجراح، وبذلوا غاية جهدهم، والتزموا بهدي نبيهم، للمحسنين منهم والمتقين ثواب عظيم.
