The Holy Quran 3:134 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِى ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ وَٱلْكَـٰظِمِينَ ٱلْغَيْظَ وَٱلْعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

Translation

(The people with Taqwa are) Those who spend (their wealth to please Allaah when they are) in ease and adversity (experiencing difficulty); (the people of Taqwa are also those) who swallow (suppress) their anger and who forgive people (forgive those who wrong them and act pleasantly with them). Allaah loves those who do good (and will therefore forgive them and reward them).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

الذين ينفقون أموالهم في اليسر والعسر، والذين يمسكون ما في أنفسهم من الغيظ بالصبر، وإذا قَدَروا عَفَوا عمَّن ظلمهم. وهذا هو الإحسان الذي يحب الله أصحابه.
