The Holy Quran 3:129 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Translation

To Allaah belongs what is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth (everything is in His control and none can question Him). He pardons whoever He wills and punishes whoever He wills. (He does what He wants.) Allaah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful (no one can question Him).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولله وحده ما في السموات وما في الأرض، يغفر لمن يشاء من عباده برحمته، ويعذب من يشاء بعدله. والله غفور لذنوب عباده، رحيم بهم.
