The Holy Quran 3:10 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَن تُغْنِىَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَـٰدُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ ٱلنَّارِ

Translation

Verily the riches and the progeny of the Kaafiroon shall not help them at all against (the punishment of) Allaah (as was seen in the Battle of Badr when the Mushrikeen were killed despite their wealth and numbers). These people will be the fuel of the fire.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن الذين جحدوا الدين الحق وأنكروه، لن تنفعهم أموالهم ولا أولادهم من عذاب الله شيئًا إن وقع بهم في الدنيا، ولن تدفعه عنهم في الآخرة، وهؤلاء هم حطب النار يوم القيامة.
