The Holy Quran 38:62 — Surah Sad

Arabic text

وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ

Translation

(In addition to cursing those who misled them,) They (the Kuffaar) will say, "Why do we not see (here in Jahannam) those (Mu'mineen) men whom we regarded as evil people (in the world, thinking that they had been misled)?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وقال الطاغون: ما بالنا لا نرى معنا في النار رجالا كنا نعدهم في الدنيا من الأشرار الأشقياء؟ هل تحقيرنا لهم واستهزاؤنا بهم خطأ، أو أنهم معنا في النار، لكن لم تقع عليهم الأبصار؟
