The Holy Quran 38:30 — Surah Sad

Arabic text

وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَيْمَـٰنَ ۚ نِعْمَ ٱلْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ

Translation

We gifted (gave) Sulaymaan عليه الصلاة والسلام (as a son) to Dawood عليه الصلاة والسلام. A fine (excellent) slave indeed! He was certainly most penitent (always turning to Us).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ووهبنا لداود ابنه سليمان، فأنعمنا به عليه، وأقررنا به عينه، نِعْم العبد سليمان، إنه كان كثير الرجوع إلى الله والإنابة إليه.
