The Holy Quran 34:50 — Surah Saba

Arabic text

قُلْ إِن ضَلَلْتُ فَإِنَّمَآ أَضِلُّ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِى ۖ وَإِنِ ٱهْتَدَيْتُ فَبِمَا يُوحِىٓ إِلَىَّ رَبِّىٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ سَمِيعٌ قَرِيبٌ

Translation

Say (to the Kuffaar), "If I am astray, then I have strayed to my own detriment (at no cost to you, so why do you continue harassing me?). However, if I am rightly guided, then it is on account of what (revelation) my Rabb has revealed to me. (Hence it will benefit you tremendously to follow me rather than oppose me.) Verily, He is the All Hearing, Close."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قل: إن مِلْت عن الحق فإثم ضلالي على نفسي، وإن استقمت عليه فبوحي الله الذي يوحيه إليَّ، إن ربي سميع لما أقول لكم، قريب ممن دعاه وسأله.
