The Holy Quran 30:47 — Surah Ar-Rum

Arabic text

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ ۖ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Translation

(O Rasulullaah ﷺ) We have undoubtedly sent many Rusul before you to their nations, who brought clear signs (miracles) to them (to prove that they were true messengers of Allaah). (However, despite all of this, the people rejected the message of Towheed that the Ambiyaa brought and harassed the Mu'mineen. Therefore) We then exacted revenge from those who sinned (by punishing them in this world already) It has always been Our bounden (obligatory) responsibility to assist the Mu'mineen (against their enemies).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولقد أرسلنا مِن قبلك -أيها الرسول- رسلا إلى قومهم مبشرين ومنذرين يدعونهم إلى التوحيد، ويحذرونهم من الشرك، فجاؤوهم بالمعجزات والبراهين الساطعة، فكفر أكثرهم بربهم، فانتقمنا من الذين اكتسبوا السيئات منهم، فأهلكناهم، ونصرنا المؤمنين أتباع الرسل، وكذلك نفعل بالمكذبين بك إن استمروا على تكذيبك، ولم يؤمنوا.
