The Holy Quran 30:44 — Surah Ar-Rum

Arabic text

مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۥ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًا فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ

Translation

Whoever commits kufr, his kufr will be to his detriment (because he will suffer eternal punishment for it). (On the other hand,) Whoever (has Imaan and then) carries out a good deed, such people will be preparing the ground (of Jannah) for themselves...

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

من كفر فعليه عقوبة كفره، وهي خلوده في النار، ومن آمن وعمل صالحًا فلأنفسهم يهيئون منازل الجنة; بسبب تمسكهم بطاعة ربهم.
