The Holy Quran 30:21 — Surah Ar-Rum

Arabic text

وَمِنْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Translation

Also among His Aayaat is that He has created spouses for you from yourselves (from your own species) so that you may find solace (peace and rest) with her and He has placed (tremendous) love (most manifest during youth) and (a great deal of) mercy (most manifest during old age) between you. There are certainly Aayaat in this for people who contemplate (people who have insight).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ومن آياته الدالة على عظمته وكمال قدرته أن خلق لأجلكم من جنسكم -أيها الرجال- أزواجًا; لتطمئن نفوسكم إليها وتسكن، وجعل بين المرأة وزوجها محبة وشفقة، إن في خلق الله ذلك لآيات دالة على قدرة الله ووحدانيته لقوم يتفكرون، ويتدبرون.
