The Holy Quran 2:81 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

بَلَىٰ مَن كَسَبَ سَيِّئَةً وَأَحَـٰطَتْ بِهِۦ خَطِيٓـَٔتُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ

Translation

Without any doubt (you shall enter Jahannam and remain there forever)! Those who commit evil (Shirk) and whose evil acts have enveloped them (causing them to die as Mushrikeen), these are the ones who will be the occupants (inhabitants) of the Fire (of Jahannam) where they will live forever.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فحُكْمُ الله ثابت: أن من ارتكب الآثام حتى جَرَّته إلى الكفر، واستولت عليه ذنوبه مِن جميع جوانبه -وهذا لا يكون إلا فيمن أشرك بالله- فأولئك هم المشركون والكفار هم الذين يلازمون نار جهنم ملازمة دائمةً لا تنقطع.
