The Holy Quran 2:41 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِمَآ أَنزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ وَلَا تَكُونُوٓا۟ أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍۭ بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِى ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا وَإِيَّـٰىَ فَٱتَّقُونِ

Translation

Believe in what I have revealed (in the Qur'aan), which supports that which you have with you (the Torah. The Qur'aan supports the subjects of Tauheed and Risaalah expressed in the Torah), and do not become the first rejecters (from among the Jews because you will then be responsible for the sin of those who reject after you). Do not trade Allaah's verses (those verses in your scriptures that describe Rasulullaah) for a small price and fear Me only (do not conceal these verses for fear that you would lose the wealth that your subordinates give you. You should rather fear Me only).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وآمنوا -يا بني إسرائيل- بالقرآن الذي أنزَلْتُه على محمد نبي الله ورسوله، موافقًا لما تعلمونه من صحيح التوراة، ولا تكونوا أول فريق من أهل الكتاب يكفر به، ولا تستبدلوا بآياتي ثمنًا قليلا من حطام الدنيا الزائل، وإياي وحدي فاعملوا بطاعتي واتركوا معصيتي.
