The Holy Quran 2:278 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَذَرُوا۟ مَا بَقِىَ مِنَ ٱلرِّبَوٰٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

Translation

O you who have Imaan! Fear Allaah and give up (write off) what interest is left (what is still due to you) if you (really) are Mu'mineen. (After learning about the prohibition of interest, do not demand any interest owing to you.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

يا من آمنتم بالله واتبعتم رسوله خافوا الله، واتركوا طلب ما بقي لكم من زيادة على رؤوس أموالكم التي كانت لكم قبل تحريم الربا، إن كنتم محققين إيمانكم قولا وعملا.
