The Holy Quran 2:245 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Translation

Who is it that will lend to Allaah a good loan (by spending for the pleasure of Allaah) so that Allaah may multiply it many times (by granting a reward that ranges from ten to seven hundred and many more times more than the actual value of the amount spent)? Allaah reduces (people's livelihood) and increases (it to test them) and to Him shall you all be returned. (A person can attain maximum reward for his charity by not expecting anything in return from the recipient, by not considering his charity to be a favour to the recipient and by not treating the recipient with contempt.)

Tafsir (excerpt) —
